WDFN enacted a Land Use Plan on March 31st, 2009. The land use plan has developed to help guide development on WDFN Lands to ensure development takes place in an orderly and rationale manner for the benefits of WDFN members. The land use plan was later updated and adopted as the WDFN Land Use Law on May 13th, 2019.
The WDFN Land Use Law continues to regulate development on WDFN Lands while ensuring developments are compatible with surrounding lands. The law outlines general regulations and development standards within each land use district.

- Commercial and Industrial
- Agriculture
- Special Use
- Conservation
WDFN Land Base:
- Total reserve in acres: 5,678 (2,298 ha)
- Fee simple lands in acres: 862 (349 ha)
