Jordan’s Principle (ISC) has made changes to their application guidelines as of February 10, 2025. These changes have been made to ensure the long-term sustainability of the program and follow the Jordan’s Principle mandate – to support First Nations children who face barriers to access products, services and supports.

The Repatriation of Ceremonial Pipe to the Whitecap Dakota Nation after 138 Years

On November 2nd, 2023, the ceremonial pipe belonging to Chief Whitecap will be returned to the rights holding community of Whitecap Dakota Nation after 138 years. The pipe had been held by the Royal Canadian Military Institute (RCMI) and is being returned by that institution.
