Call for Applications → Community Consultative Group (CCG)
The Whitecap Dakota Nation signed a Community Tripartite Agreement (CTA) with Canada and the province of Saskatchewan in relation to policing provisions. The CTA outlines the obligations of the three parties. One of the obligations of the Whitecap Dakota Nation is to establish and maintain a Community Consultative Group (CCG).
The CCG shall:
- Be representative of the community and should include participants who are Elders, Women and Youth (16+ years old);
- Consist of no less than 5 members and no more than 7 members; and
- Meet at least once every 2 months during the term of this Agreement.
The role and responsibilities of a CCG Board member are not limited to but will include:
- Attend and participate in CCG meetings and initiatives of the CCG.
- Assist in the development of the CCG’s objectives, priorities, goals, strategies, and special projects related to community safety and well-being.
- Participate in CCG Board initiatives.
Applicants to become a CCG Board Member should:
- Have a vested interest in Whitecap Dakota Nation community safety and well-being.
- Be willing to actively participate and provide their input.
- Be willing to work with the local RCMP Member(s) and CSO’s to address community safety issues and concerns with a goal in seeking solutions, creating a partnership, and improving relationships.
The above process is open to all Whitecap Dakota Nation Band Members who are 16 years of age and over. Council will review all applications received and advisory committee appointments will be made thereafter; successful applicants will be notified by phone call, followed by a letter.
Deadline for applications is December 19th, 2025 at 4:30pm.
