Chief Darcy Bear Scholarship

The Chief Darcy Bear Scholarship was initiated in 2019 to honour 25 years as Chief of the Whitecap Dakota Nation. The scholarship, supported by contributions from the Government of Saskatchewan, BMO and Whitecap Development Corporation, will see a total of $25,000 per year for five consecutive years to assist WDFN students in their academic aspirations. The scholarship will go to 10 recipients, for a total of $2500.00 each, each academic year.

The scholarships are awarded to those who are entering school or continuing their studies. An application process will take place every academic year. Keep an eye on this page, as well as our social media, to review the application process and guidelines.

The 2026 application period will begin in June. The application deadline will be July 31st.
